This wooden Cessna O-1 Bird Dog aircraft is laser cut and mounted on a wooden base.  First designated the L-19A Bird Dog, it was used in the Korean War from 1950-1953.  In 1962, it was redesignated the O-1 (Observation) Bird Dog.  During the Vietnam War, the Bird Dog was used for reconnaissance, artillery adjustment, convoy escort, and forward air control for tactical aircraft.
