Prettily hand-painted porcelain plate celebrating mothers.  This distinctive cobalt blue 7-3/4" plate was manufactured by the Kaiser Porcelain Co. & represents the finest German underglaze porcelain.  It's of a special series, limited to an issue of 20,000 for the USA, beginning in 1970.  It has the distinctive bear & crown mark, which is found on every product produced for the Berlin Design Series.  It's the symbol of the city, Berlin, which is considered the heart of West Germany where it was made. This 1986 chicken family plate is numbered '17'.  It has two holes on its back so that it is easy to hang.  This plate is glossy and in perfect condition.  Unfortunately, it isn't in its original box & is without documentation.  Would make a wonderful gift for Mom or Grandmother.
