This is a more contemporary 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the classics 1920's silent film drama/romance, THE CONQUERING POWER, released in 1921 by Metro Pictures Corporation and directed by Rex Ingram. Based upon the story EugĂ©nie Grandet by HonorĂ© de Balzac, after losing his father, a playboy (Rudolph Valentino) moves in with his miserly uncle (Ralph Lewis), who seeks to cheat him out of his inheritance.

The image features a beautiful soft-focus design of Charles Grandet (Rudolph Valentino) looking sad as he lets the coins he was holding in his hand drop onto the table nearby. This photograph was taken by Arthur C. Rice, whose motion picture photographs are very sought-after by collectors. It is in very fine+ condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
