The design of this great combat helmet is based on Iranian turban helmet . The helmet is hand-hammered of steel. Nosal element is made of extremely reliable steel. The originals of the early turban helmets are kept in the Topkapi Museum, in Istanbul, Turkey. Most likely, they are of Iranian origin and date back to the mid 14th century, but some believe they initially appeared in Turkey. Their dome was solid or riveted of several petals and reached the level of the nasal bridge. It had half-cuts for the eyes with riveted metal brow ridges above them. Such turbans were in in the second half of the 15th - 16th centuries in Turkey, Iran, and Mamluk Egypt. Unusual early turban helm is fully handmade and hand-polished.
