These hardcover books have no remainder marks, no internal markings, no unpleasant odors and no previous ownership marks.

The books are in structurally sound condition - the bindings are still in good condition and the boards are in good shape.

The outer page edges exhibit light uniform soiling and slight age toning.  

The pages of the books are clean and bright.  

The decorative endpapers of both books, both front and rear, are in clean mark free condition.

The boards are covered in red cloth.  The cloth cover of Magnificent Century has spotting, primarily on the rear panel.  Please see the pictures provided. 

The gilt lettering on the spine of Magnificent Century has faded somewhat.  Not so for Conquerors.

These are sound, mark free, odor free, clean hardcovers.
