Anna Sewell’s classic children’s story, beloved by generations and one of the world’s best-selling books. A precursor to the “pony book” genre of children’s literature, “Black Beauty” is told in the first person from the perspective of the eponymous horse. Spanning the horse’s life, each chapter of “Black Beauty” teaches lessons, including kindness, compassion, and animal welfare.
Black Beauty by Anna Sewell was published by Whitman Publishing Company in 1955. It is illustrated by Wm. M. Hutchinson.
This book is in rough shape. The pages are brown with age and are starting to become brittle. They do not have any writing or tears. The hinges are very weak. You can see in our pictures they are torn and loose. The colors on the cover are still vivid, but the plastic overcoat is starting to tear along the spine. There is lots of scuffing and tears on the corners, edges, and spine. We tried to take pictures that would show the damage described. While it is in rough shape it is also over 60 years old and a classic. Buy with confidence - every order has a confirmation tracking number. Fast FREE shipping from our non-smoking home. e-1
