You are bidding on this nice color photo postcard. The postcard is Jefferson Memorial-Spring, Washington D.C. The postcard is in good condition, with some light wear at the corners and edges, and some light stains and yellowing on the back. The discoloration in the photo is a reflection, and is not any discoloration actually on the postcard. The postcard is used postally, has a stamp, but an address sticker, and a postmark dated 1998, and has a caption on the back that reads; The Jefferson Memorial’s location along the Tidal Basin seems inspired today, but it was arrived at only after several other potential sites – on the Mall, in Lincoln Park, and on the banks of the Anacostia River – were rejected. Other opposition arose because of the design, which was unpopular at the outset, and because some of the prized Japanese cherry trees had to be removed... It is 4” by 6” and is a nice color photo postcard.
