#13 Diamond B Logo Paperweight in Flame Glass by Boyd Crystal Art Glass

What I have to offer is a Boyd Glass Diamond B Logo Paperweight in the color Boyd called "Flame", made on 15 January 1981.
You can see that it is a diamond shape with a raised B in the center surrounded by the words "Boyd Crystal Art Glass".
Special Limited Production .... ONLY made for approximately 30 days then the color was retired.
This was color #13 in the series of 63 colors run, the Boyd's never repeated a color in any mold so that makes Boyd Glass highly collectible.
#13 Flame Glass is a rich deep ruby reddish yellow orange color, the red comes from adding manganese to color the glass, thus it glows a brownish/orange color when put under a UV black light (see last photo).
The concentrations of the mix will cause the color to vary, NO TWO ARE EVER THE SAME.
The Boyd Factory and showroom are now closed, the Boyd's had removed the Boyd logo from all of their molds, all of the molds have been sold off to other glass makers in the USA.
Since they took the logo off of the molds that means no more Boyd Glass items can ever be made which makes Boyd Glass even more highly collectible.
A very collectible piece by Boyd Crystal Art Glass, It would be an ideal item to add to your Boyd collection, sign collection, display or use on your desk as a paperweight.
Logo Paperweight Measures Approximately: 3 1/8" tall x 2 7/16" wide x 1" thick.
Pristine Condition: No chips, cracks, discoloration, fleabites, nicks, repairs, scratches or stains.
There may/may not be some tiny embedded bubbles and/or straw marks (creases) which is normal with glass from this era.
