Delicious. No garden is complete without Pumpkin. Connecticut Field is a wonderful heirloom variety with good old-fashioned taste. A good carving pumpkin. This Native American heirloom has a history predating 1700. Large, fifteen to twenty pound globes that are flattened on the ends. Typically twelve inches in height and diameter. The rind is hard but thin and slightly ribbed. The flesh is sweet, thick and course. Can be planted among your cornfield and used for canning or as stock feed. Seeds can be sown directly into garden when soil is warm or started in containers and transplanted when several inches tall. Zones 3-10 All seeds are packaged and for the current growing season.
