Vintage original 27x41 in. US "Style B" one-sheet poster from the classic 1980's cross-dressing comedy, TOOTSIE, released in 1982 by Columbia Pictures and directed by Sydney Pollack, in which Michael Dorsey (Dustin Hoffman), an unsuccessful actor, disguises himself as a woman in order to get a role on a trashy hospital soap. The cast includes Jessica Lange, Teri Garr, Dabney Coleman, and Charles Durning.

This is the film's original "Style B" one-sheet poster, which depicts a great full-length image of actor Michael Dorsey (Dustin Hoffman) shaking his stuff in a tight red lame dress in his other persona of "actress" Dorothy Michaels. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in very fine+ condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.

Though the working title for the film was originally "Would I Lie to You?", Dustin Hoffman suggested the title "Tootsie". "Tootsie" was the name of his mother's dog. Hoffman tried out his role as Dorothy by passing himself off as his daughter's Aunt Dorothy at her parents' evening at school. His performance was so strong that he actually convinced the teachers present--they never suspected. The crew would only give bad news to Hoffman if he was in drag, citing that he was "much nicer as a woman."
