This is a vintage original 14x22 in. Belgian poster from the popular 1950's western drama, THE LAST OUTPOST, released in 1951 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Lewis R. Foster. Despite their fighting on opposite sides during the Civil War, brothers Vance (Ronald Reagan) and Jeb Britton (Bruce Bennett) have to set their differences aside in order to survive an Indian attack.
The poster boats beautiful artwork depicting an action shot of the Britton brothers (Ronald Reagan and Bruce Bennett) holding a sword and pistol, respectively, at the top; a large romantic shot of Regan wooing beautiful Rhonda Fleming; and an attack by Native Americans on the sides. This poster has been professionally linen-backed in the "European style" without any restoration and features an older backing. It is in good- condition only with corner creases of varying sizes; two small tears to the right of Reagan's name at the top left; two small pieces of clear Scotch tape near the left corner of the top border; random tiny circular stains in the top border; and surface paper loss to the Paramount logo at the bottom and in the background to the left right of Bennett's left hand. The beautiful color tints are still fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
This poster will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube to prevent damage while in transit.
