This is a strikingly chic vintage 60s Hawaiian maxi dress with fabulous details, and a unique fit that is a wiggle dress in the front, with a dramatic drape in the back.

Marked a size 10, but more like a modern XS / 2 / 4. Fits my dress form like a glove - the form measures 34 - 25 - 34.5.
100% cotton sateen - has a lovely soft sheen.
Wonderful print of stylized tropical foliage in purple and aqua blue.
This dress has unique and striking details.
Slightly scooped neck with piped edge. Deep scoop in the back.
Empire waist has a curved below-bust seam, with diagonal pleats below bust at center front. The effect is similar to a shelf bust.
Inside at the waist, one each side are elasticized tabs that hook in the back, nipping in the waist. One tab has a hook, the other has four eyelets for an adjustable fit. This gives the bodice a va-voom fit!
Center front accented with a braided fabric button and loop and a coiled fabric frog closure.
Lined cap sleeves.
Long darts through torso.
Center front deep slit.
The front has a very fitted, wiggle dress look, which contrasts dramatically with the draped back.
The back is a pleated and draped watteau effect - almost like a train.
Back zip, with hook and eye closure.
The bodice and sleeves are lined. The bottom of the dress is unlined.
In wonderful vintage condition with no damage. Truly exceptional. Freshly cleaned. From a smoke-free home.
