You are Looking at Original Batchelder or Pasadena/Calco Vintage Tiles or Alhambra Kilns
Vintage Tile(s) from 1900's -1940's.
Size: 3 3/4” X 3 3/4” X 1/2” Thick in Unglazed Condition.
Viking Ship with Butterfly looking Sail, Very Beautiful.
These are tiles from my Neighbor who gave these to me in the Late 60's, I use to live in San Gabriel Ca.,so these were around, I think these may have been used but they look like they were never used, just dirty and some have some splattered paint on them from storage before I got them (Look at all pic's).
The back of the
tile(s) are unmarked so it’s unclear
if they are Batchelder or Pasadena/Calco Vintage Tiles or Alhambra Kilns but it’s one or the other. I, through research want to say they are Batchelder, my opinion!
Condition: They may have small chip(s) or some small surface cracks but not broken or ready to fall apart, still a solid tile(s), again Please look at all pic's, These are in *Excellent condition, I had these stored for 45 plus years after I got them and just repacked them about 20 years ago.
These would be great for a Home project or to add to a Sink or Kitchen area, this tile(s) would really stand out and be a great addition to any room, even framed for display, it's so Nice Looking.*They are very rare tiles in any condition! Thick 1” high tiles
made of a fine unglazed ceramic.
