Vintage Handmade Doll Boy & Girl "Cousins" (1947)

These are adorable, intricately made little dolls who might have been meant to be cousins. The note on their "bag" says that they were made in 1947 by Lewis Palmer for his Cousin, Lois May Palmer. The hair is quite possibly actual human hair. It is beginning to disintegrate and part of the little girl's has come loose from where it was hand-stitched in. The clothes are well-made in amazing detail. Their faces are hand-stitched on. Their faces look similar to the Edith Flack Ackley handmade cloth doll patterns from the 1940's, so it's possible that those patterns might have been used.

12" tall.

Other than the part of the girl's hair that is loose, they are in perfect condition.

These are a real treasure. We are sorry to seem them away from their family. They are from a local Estate.
