2 Gilbert and Sullivan Opera books

This listing has two different Gilbert and Sullivan books published by Grosset and Dunlap in 1940.  Both are adapted by Robert Lawrence and illustrated by Sheliah Beckett, and were authorized by the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company.  Both are HBs without DJs, and both have a cloth spine.  Illustrations in both book alternate between full color and black-and-white.  These are small books that measure 8 1/4 inches X 6 3/8 inches.

The Gondoliers is in Good Condition: pages show slight handling; no markings; binding tight; covers have edgewear and a few nicks; spine is in nice shape.

The Mikado is in Good condition: pages show slight handling; there is a name inside the front cover; binding tight; covers have edgewear and a few nicks; spine has a little wear to the top and bottom.
