Gluconolactone is a second generation alpha hydroxy acid and it provides similar effects to glycolic acid, but offers the added benefits of gentleness and antioxidant function. Gluconolactone is composed of multiple water attracting hydroxy groups, which hydrate the skin, resulting in enhanced degrees of moisturization.  Gluconolactone makes skin look younger, healthier and more beautiful.
