Vintage original double-sided placemat c.1978 featuring various cartoon characters by the famed Walter Lantz. Depicted on one side is Woody Woodpecker painting a still-life picture of a bowl of front while, unbeknownst to him, his niece and nephew, Splinter and Knothead, are underneath the table and eating some of the fruit he has already painted. Walter Lantz has signed this side of the placement in the bottom right corner in black Sharpie. The other side features an image of Buzz Buzzard standing new the edge of a dock with a fishing pole as he discovers that the fish he has just caught was inside the mouth of a pelican. This placement was printed on a thick paper stock and then laminated to function as a placement. It is in like new condition without any visible flaws. This item will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube to prevent damage during transit.
