All the hits (doo-wop standards like "Sincerely" and "Ten Commandments of Love") and lots more (including lots of unreleased tracks, all worth hearing) from the highly creative black vocal group that (in part thanks to mentor Alan Freed) became one of the first R&B acts to consistently cross over to the pop charts. Of the unfamiliar stuff, particular standouts include the very funny patter song (proto-rap?) "He Lied" and the gorgeous ballad "I'll Stop Wanting You," featuring a string arrangement, something highly unusual for the R&B of the period.
