Item description for Vintage Belt Buckle Modernist Artisan Hand Crafted Enamel Black Beige

This is a gorgeous unique enameled belt buckle in shades of black, tan and beige. It has a modern theme with an elegant design that reminds me of palm fronds or leaves. The enamel is done in inlay between gold separation patterns. It has a sticker on the back that reads “HG-7 51”, I have no idea of the artisan who created the buckle or when and where it was made. The buckle measures approximately 6 ½ inches long and 2 ½ inches wide and has a curved surface. It weighs 2.20 ounces on my postage scale.

This buckle is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. The back is a brass color, but may be copper underneath with gold plating on top, a magnet does not stick to it. There is some wear and tarnishing on the back of the buckle as you can see in the photo, but the front is in excellent condition. Please note that the enamel is shiny and glossy and there are reflections on the smooth surface. There is a little spot where the enamel is a little darker on the beige, but that is original to the piece and is not damage (see image with arrow). This would be perfect for anyone who is looking for an unusual belt buckle. It is sure to get many compliments. The colors will allow it to be worn with many different outfits.
