I think it was the quirky blue fabric that started me putting Country Brook together, and that pulled in some other odd pieces for the somewhat abstract foliage.  I used the edging of a silvery weave fabric and a fringe from another to give texture to the boundaries between water and sand and sky.

For the foliage, I used some of my favorite fabrics that I have come across recently, plus the colorful swirl of circles that I have had for quite a while.  The grass is a white-on-white print dyed with green, where the print shows less of the color.

My artwork is mounted on foam core, which creates a light-weight but rigid piece with a wire for hanging and  a felt backing. It is treated with a sun-block spray, although prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may eventually cause fading.
