Vintage original 47 x 63 in. "country of origin" French grande poster from the 1950's crime comedy, ARRETZ LE MASSACRE (Stop the Massacre), released in France in 1959 and directed by Andre Hunebelle. The artwork features two different styles of images, all of which are complimented against a red background. The film's star, Jean Richard, is rendered at the top in a realistic style as he apparently is yelling to "stop the massacre" while the main image features a cartoon-style design of a man holding-up two security guards at gunpoint behind their open armored truck with bags of cash on the ground between them.

This poster was designed by the acclaimed French artist Guy Gerard Noel, who also created notable images for such classic Hammer Films horror movies as Horror of Dracula (1958) and Kiss of the Vampire (1963). Folded as originally issued, this vintage original "country of origin" French grande poster is unrestored in fine+ condition with a tear inside the hair of star Jean Richard at the top; a Canadian censor stamp in the bottom left panel; random small areas of separation at the crossfolds; and a few scattered nicks on the edges. The colors are as fresh and vibrant as when this poster was originally printed in 1959.
