Beware the Invasion of FEMBOTS!!

This is truly a unique and one-of-a-kind item...
a candid, 8" x 10" on-set photo of
'Showgirl Fembots' from the 1977 production location shoot at the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas, NV for 'The Bionic Woman,'
'FEMBOTS IN LAS VEGAS!'

I personally took this photo!! It features the Fembots, along with actress
Jennifer Darling, in Showgirl costumes! Now, it Is a bit grainy, as I was not
able to use the flash during the shoot, and it Is 45+ year-old film!!
But, still--How Cool!?

(It has been written that Jennifer Darling said that she Never Wore
the Showgirl costume in this episode...but I Have The Proof!)

AND...I have Stories to Tell!
During the shoot, there was a Fire on the
Second Floor of the Dunes,
which did Not stop any of the gamblers in the casino!
I ran up to see if I could help put it out, but
the smoke was too thick...I let the Professionals handle it!

Also...during one stunt, where 'Jamie' jumps down from a balcony onto a table...
the poor stunt woman was seriously injured--she broke both of her ankles.
Sure...they replaced the table top with balsa wood,
but they left the Steel Pipe and Base, which she landed squarely on! Ouch!

This episode was filmed in June/July 1977...parts of it on the roof of the hotel/casino. It was 113 degrees that day!!!
I was not needed on the roof...thank you, and was sitting quietly in
one of the air-conditioned hotel hallways, where we had set up the next scene...
which they Never Shot!

Lastly...we had borrowed some pay phones (remember them!?) from the Las Vegas Phone Company, because they were completely different-looking from what we had in CA.
After using them in a shot, it was Too Late to return them to the closed office,
so I had to bring them back with me to Universal Studios... and the Next Day, I had a Studio driver take me Back to Vegas to return them! Up there, lunch and back...took all day--on the clock! I sure Miss those Nice and Well-Paid times!
