This is a vary rare copy ofthe NIPPON TIMES OCT 26 1945 DURING US OCCUPATIONSThe Nippon Times was an English language newspaper published in Japan. Originally called the Japan Times, the name was temporally changed to Nippon Times (1943–1956) before reverting to the Japan Times title in 1956, during ban of English language sentiment during World War II era in Japan.
My Uncle brough it back with him after the war. His ship, the USS Intrepid spent time in Tokyo Bay after the surrender.
The 4 page newspaper is approxamately 15" by 20" and is in very good to fine condition with tear on the upper right side and is folded to paperback book size. I don't know if the brown color is due to age or the original color of the paper, and was folded.
The scans are of the front page only as I did not want to take a chance on damaging it because of all the folds.
