Long copper drop earrings with wire wrapped red beads. A mix of bead shapes and sizes and red amber metallic colors are used to create an artistic and stylish design. Medium gauge wire is bent and hammered to strengthen and flatten the ends in to paddles. Fine gauge wire is used to weave small metallic glass beads and larger rectangular shaped red and amber beads between the two ends. The ear wires are also handmade out of copper wire. Copper - I use natural 100% copper wire to create copper jewelry items. It is not treated with a lacquer or wax. Copper naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny. Slow the oxidization process by wiping your copper jewelry with a soft clean cloth before and after each use to keep it clean. You can easily clean oxidized copper jewelry and return it to bright and shiny by soaking it in a mixture of lemon juice and salt for 30-60 seconds, rinse with water, and dry. Try it with a penny.
