- Size: use flexible tape or a strip of paper to measure the exact length around your arm where you want to wear the bracelet. Add 1/4” – 1/2” for a snug fit or 3/4” – 1” for a comfort fit. A loose fit is not recommended for oval shape.
Copper - I use natural 100% copper wire to create copper jewelry items. It is not treated with a lacquer or wax. Copper naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny. Slow the oxidization process by wiping your copper jewelry with a soft clean cloth before and after each use to keep it clean. You can easily clean oxidized copper jewelry and return it to bright and shiny by soaking it in a mixture of lemon juice and salt for 30-60 seconds, rinse with water, and dry. Try it with a penny.
Medical properties:
If you do not have metal hypersensitivity, wearing copper bracelets and rings have been known to have healing properties for those suffering from arthritis. For medical use, it is preferable that the jewelry is not coated with a sealing agent so that there is direct contact between copper and skin.
