The ipod classic 7th was released in 2008 for 120GB version and 2009 for 160GB. The model number on the back is A1238 Followed by either MB565LL/A for 120GB OR MC297LL/A for 160GB For the silver/white version.  MB565LL/A for 120GB OR MC297LL/A for 160GB For the Black version.
