The Dried Flower Brooch was a gift to the Princess Grace of Monaco from the Philadelphia Museum of Art upon the publishing of her book entitled "My Book of Flowers" in 1980. Her great love and passion for the education and artistry of flower arrangements and gardening also led to the creation of the Monaco Garden Club. So that she could also wear the brooch as a gold and diamond pendant, she added the chain in 1981.
