A fine, rare little Lufft Barograph from the 30s. Made in Stuttgart, Germany, the German scientific instruments have an excellent reputation for quality.  Often used by ship captains and weather stations.
Also called drum recorder, here the drum is mechanically driven by an elevator with 8-day gear. Recording of air pressure by ink pen on weekly roll, ink dry. There is a very nice glass drop.
Lufft weekly rolls for this instrument may be purchased .  It measures 8.25" x 5" x 4.25".
