He presently manages the Systems Software Laboratory in Hewlett-Packard's Information Technology Group. Mr Mahon previously manages the architecture department at H-P Labs where the H-P precision architecture was developed. LECTURE SUMMARY This lecture presents the reduced complexity H-P precision architecture. Design tradeoffs are explored with particular attention paid to the rationale for architectural choices which deviate from accepted CISC and RISC practice.
