Item description for Fish Goldfish Aluminum Tin Sheet Metal Brooch Pin Hand Crafted Figural

This is a wonderful handcrafted fish brooch or pin. It could be a Goldfish, Koi or Beta or just a pretty decorative fish. I’m not positive of the material, but it appears to be aluminum or tin sheetmetal that has been hand hammered and sculpted. It is a shiny silver tone metal with terrific details on the fins, the tail, the eye and the body of the fish. It measures approximately 2 ¾ inches wide and 2 ¼ inches tall from the top of the fin to the base of the tail. It is very lightweight and will sit nicely on any dress or jacket lapel. It is not signed.

This fish is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It was handcrafted so there are defects that you would expect in a piece that was artisan made. There are some scratches in the metal on the back (see photos) from the creation of the brooch. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would be perfect for any fish lover or someone born under the sign of Pisces. It would make a unique conversation starter and would look great on a summer outfit for a Luau or a beach party. It would also make a nice decoration for a focal point in a shadow box or inside a small frame hanging on the wall. It is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable fun art that would also work attached to a purse, hat or scarf.
