this is a 4 page fold out Compagnie General Transatlantique French Line Cruise Ship Menu from September 6, 1970.    This date is printed in the middle section of the menu and below that it says to turn clocks back 60 minutes at midnight, thus a daylight savings time date.

illustrated by Jean A. Mercier from copyright 1965.    measures 10" x 13 3/8"   lovely image by the sea of man playing a lute instrument serenading maybe pleading to a partially nude female.   

In the center 2 pages are the food offerings for Lunch with text in English and French.     On the back side of the menu is a poem in French by Gérard de Nerval, a French writer, poet and essayist.    He is best known for the collection Les Filles du feu (The Daughters of Fire), which includes the poem "El Desdichado" that is on the back.
