I always considered this purse of a flapper style. I bought it to use when riding in our 1925 touring, which we no longer own. The bag itself is metal links, but very soft to the touch. The frame is golden with a raised design on a metal mesh. It is very fancy to me as these early purses go. I have seen designs with flowers or single colors, but I have never seen this chevron style design before. What I liked about this purse was that the bottom has a v design and not fringe because fringe is damaged so easily. It is unlined, which appears to be its original state. I have owned this piece for over 40 years and it has been in a smoke free home. The body of the purse at the hinge has one place on the left where is has come apart and several places on the other side, where it has come apart. Up the side to the hinge is a band of golden chains and that appears to be what has come apart. I don't think the design has been compromised. I do not want to go ahead with the repair so I have reflected the need for a repair in the price. It is 8 inches long from the clasp to the bottom. The chain adds a hanging length of 7 inches to the piece. I do not permit returns so contact me with any questions.
