This is a vintage original 27x41 in. US one-sheet poster from the classic 1930's drama/romance, ANNA KARENINA, released in 1935 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and directed by Clarence Brown. Based upon the famous novel by Leo Tolstoy, Greta Garbo stars as the married Anna Karenina, who falls in love with Count Vronskky (Fredric March) despite her husband's (Basil Rathbone) refusal to grant a divorce, and both must contend with the social repercussions. The image features beautiful artwork depicting a large close shot of the film's three leading actors including Greta Garbo, Fredric March, and Freddie Bartholomew, all depicted during a happier moment. As indicated in the bottom right corner by the "R62," this poster was printed for the film's US theatrical re-release in 1962. Folded as originally issued, it is in very fine- condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and only several diagonal creases of varying sizes on the bottom corners. The colors are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading
