This is an often humorous retelling of the Old Testament, written in Black dialect (this was first published in 1928). It contains much racial terminology, but was not intended to be derogatory. There are chapter heading drawings by A. B. Walker. This paperback edition appears to be quite scarce. (Like the other vintage edition of this title, Superior Reprints were distributed to U.S. servicemen during World War II.) Some cover creasing and spine/edge/corner wear, but the binding is square and solid, and the book has no writing or markings. Very decent condition for this imprint.
