GERALD BIENVENU (1936- American)

Born in New Orleans, Gerald grew up and spent most of his life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He moved to Rockport last year and has since adopted Texas as his place to live and paint.

Gerald is a realist painter who has mastered the technique of working from his own photography. His 'plein-aire' field trips include all of the sketch pads and pencils, and a digital camera. Back in the studio, he works quickly to establish the wet washes and dry brush strokes which have led to his success as a water-colorist.
