Antique Majolica Pottery Pitcher

With a lovely basketweave and Strawberry flower patter, this 8 inch pitcher is a great representation of Majolica. it's not signed and I don't know the maker.  There is a small flat chip on the outside of the rim (see the last picture) Majolica was a pottery form made in the late 1800's circa 1860-1900 in response to the industrialization of the manufacturing of pottery and china.  Much of the work was handwork instead of mechanized which is why it was a softer finished product subject to damage.  And why chips and cracks are more prevalent and more tolerated than with say 21st century porcelain and china.
