The smaller-sized cabinet photo pictures Mary, Oscar, and daughter Lena Mae Parliman MacVean. It was taken in a studio in Middleton on September 17, 1897. The reverse side states that Oscar was 8 years old, and Lena was 2 years old. The CDV depicts Oscar as a baby and was taken in Middletown, New York. Measure approximately 4.25 x 6.5, 3.25 x 5, and 2.5 x 4.25 including mounts. Condition: These are original photographs, not copies or reproductions. They are in very good condition. Comments: An on-line genealogy search reveals James H. Parliman was born in 1869 and died in 1945. His wife Mary Hester Brown was born in 1865 and died in 1945. Oscar M. Parliman was born in 1889 and died in 1953. In the 1840 U.S. Census he was residing with his wife Harriet E. Sparks (1889-1946) in New Paltz, New York. He is buried in the Bruynswick Rural Cemetery in Ulster County, New York. Lena Mae Parliman was born in 1895 and died in 1975. Her married name was MacVean.
