This lovely huge stunning vintage brooch or pin is in the shape of a leaf spray design with prong set marquise and chaton rhinestones. The stones are brilliantly hued and consist of 13 spring green marquise shaped rhinestones and 7 yellow marquise shaped rhinestones. There is a rib of round green stones in the center of the leaf and it is accented with 2 aurora borealis round cut stones that add a special twinkle to the brooch (see arrow). The color combination of the yellow and green is quite striking. A similar brooch is pictured on page 135 of the book "Unsigned Beauties of Costume Jewelry" by Marcia "Sparkles" Brown. All the stones are prong set into an enclosed bezel gold tone backing. Although it is unsigned it is most definitely a quality designer piece. 

This is in excellent vintage condition with all the stones intact and sparkling. There are no dark or missing stones. It measures approximately 3 inches by 2 inches. It is fairly heavy and beautifully made. It weighs .9 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 25.51 grams. Each of the enclosed settings on the back has been individually made, placed and soldered together to create this wonderful 3 dimensional layered tier shaped leaf. It has a safety catch locking clasp on the back.

This would be a perfect sparkly Spring brooch to wear on your jacket to add that special touch of color. It could easily be converted to a pendant if you so desired. It is truly a one of a kind piece of art jewelry.
