Born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, Miram Baker Loo is an accomplished and creative homermaker who has been an enthusiastic cook since her youth. After graduation from Washburn University at Topeka, Kansas, she was married to Orin Loo. In additicn to raising three sons, with her husband, in 1950 she founded Current, Inc., a national mail order firm located in Colorado Springs. The company has grown from a basement business whose first product lines included Post-A-Notes and recipe cards, designed by Mr. Loo, to a thriving enterprise serving millions of customers today.

A participant in many gourmet food classes, Miriam Loo has been responsible for the many recipes for notes, calendars, and personal enclcoures in the Current product line for several years.

Long involved in volunteer activities, Miriam Loo has received national recognition for her accomplishments in community work, church leadership, and business.

Dear Friends,

It seems, as time gees by, that our dollars buy less and less at the grocery stere. This can mean cutting back on feeds we like, but it doesn’t have to mean the quality of our diets must suffer, That’s why l’ve written the Budget CookBook.

First of all, i have included tips for shopping and food substitutien suggestiens to help you save monev and balance your diet with nourishing but less expensive meals. By watching for values, planning ahead, and avoiding impulse buying, you can really stretch your food dollar.

Buying less expensive food does not mean you have to sacrifice nutrition or variety. This book includes several recipes fer preparing quality feeds such as chicken, fish, and eggs in different and delicious ways. Often you can save money in the long run by making something from scratch, avoiding the ready-made versions, the result is a less expensive dish that tastes better and is better for you.

I hope you will enjoy the recipes I have compiled and will make the pleasant discovery that dining on a budget can even result in a more nutritious, better-tasting diet!

 Shipping charges will be per the shipping calculator.  Delivery is via USPS Priority Mail in the continental USA, which is a 2 - 3 day service, USPS First Class Mail for packages under 15.9 oz or USPS Media Mail for Books, CD's and other media .
 
International orders will ship via USPS Priority Mail International or USPS First Class Mail International for packages under 4 pounds.
