TEN YEARS A COWBOY by C.C. Post Rhodes & McClure Pub. Co., 1908 Condition: Fair "The story, romance and adventures of a life on the Plains with the varied experiences as cowboy, stock-owner, rancher, etc., etc." This is followed by lengthy addenda on the Plains, cattle ranching and sheep herding by Tex Bender, the Cowboy Fiddler. There are numerous full-page illustrations and many more on text pages "under" the print. At the back are some book ads and an advertising essay for an instrument for teaching the deaf to hear and speak "through the Medium of the Teeth"! Some 500 pages in all. This copy has many problems -- cracked hinges, shaken spine, ffep and half-title page missing, a number of page tears and small stains; the covers/spine also have wear (a somewhat bent front cover, corner frayng, some spine wear) but still look quite good. I don't usually sell books in this condition, but it's great reading and, with all text/illustration pages present and attached, this is an acceptable reading copy.
