The German Sammelwerk photograph collection contains an incomplete collection of cigarette cards issued between 1933 and 1939 in Germany. Each card has a German caption on the back, as well as the group and image number. The groups included in this collection are: Sammelwerk Nr. 8 : Germany awakes, origin, struggle and victory of the NSDAP, Sammelwerk Nr. 13 : Olympics 1936 - volume I, and Sammelwerk Nr. 15 : Adolf Hitler. Most of the images depict Adolf Hitler at various locations and functions in Germany from the late 1920s to 1936, Nazi Party rallies, the Sturmabteilung (SA), the Hitler Jugend (Hitler Youth), the Bund Deutscher Mädel (League of German Maidens), and the 1936 Olympics.
