This 531-page book is a comprehensive reference history of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, America's oldest farm organization, and the only rual fraterity in the world between 1867-1947. It was written by Charles M. Gardner, High Priest Emeritus of the Grange, who also signed and inscribed the book on the ffep.(A former owner's name is also written on the page.) Included are photos and biographical sketches of all the Founders, Masters, and other important figures of the Grange up to the book's publication. The exterior of the book is excellent. Bumping has caused an impression at or near the top of a number of pages and a couple of slight edge tears. The jacket has short edge tears and creasing near the edges; otherwise, the dj is in nice shape.
