Borgessa Faux Fur Coat 1960's Double Breasted Small Free Shipping
Owned by my husband's 98 year old Grandmother this was her "good coat" and seldom worn but dry cleaned every season. Stored in a climate controlled closet in a suit bag for years. In mint condition with no flaws noted. Has extra button sewed in the lining which is an amazing black, moire satin with four leaf clovers scattered all around.
The label reads "Borgessa, deep pile fabric by Borg Textiles, Sears Fashions, Bunker Ramo, Professionally Dry Clean Only". Double breasted, the coat has a broad collar that can be flipped up to combat the coldest days and closes with unusual, black buttons having a golden ring. There's a throat button also, under the collar. It has two angled front pockets. The collar as well as a wide area around the hem are made of slightly longer nap to give the coat more visual interest. It is super soft material and quite lovely.
Vintage sizes on labels are not comparable to modern sizes so please know your measurements and refer to the coat's measurements before buying. Be sure to add a few inches when purchasing to allow for comfortable movement, bulky sweaters, etc.
Approximate flat measurements:
45" long from shoulder to hem
19" across, armpit to armpit (about a 35" to 37" bust)
23.5" long sleeves from shoulder to cuff
