Wedgwood of England produced a series of 6 plates by the 18th century Italian etcher, Piranesi. This plate is beautiful ivory, tones of brown in the scenic design and has a ribbed edge. Title is "Castle of St. Angelo". Back of the plate shows: Selected by Most Rev. Richard Cushing of Boston (presided 1944-1970) to benefit his charity.There is a bit of crazing in the finish found only on the back. Measures 10.5" diam. Sorry no box.
