This is a Soundgate AUXMSTVL1 V3 dual auxiliary audio input adapter for select Volvo vehicles.  It is also compatible with Alpine M-bus radios that use the M-Bus for connecting a CD changer.  This adapter enables the CD changer port of the radio as an stereo auxiliary input, instead, so a stereo music source can be connected.

It provides dual stereo audio inputs to play an iPod, MP3, DVD, smartphone, Sirius/XM Radio or other music source through the factory-installed car stereo or Alpine M-bus radio. The input is clear, without the static or interference from an FM transmitter.
