This trade paperback edition is a reprint of the hardback limited edition. Collected are Robert E. Howard's first thirteen Conan stories, in their original versions and in the order Howard wrote them. The majority appeared in Weird Tales in 1932-34; a few didn't see print until years later in other publications. Each story features a full-page black-and-white illustration -- in the classic tradition -- by Mark Schultz, who also provided many smaller illustrations as well. In addition, there are more than 100 pages of Miscellania and Appendices, including the article "The Hyborian Age", the first draft of Howard's debut Conan story, notes on the creation of the Conan stories, maps and more.
