This is a mini biography of 4th president of the Republic of the Philippines, CARLOS P. GARCIA (March 18, 1957 - December 30, 1961). GARCIA was an accomplished debater, orator and poet. He was acclaimed as the Prince of Visayan Poets. 

He staunchly supported the "FILIPINOS FIRST" Policy and popularized the "BUY FILIPINO" program. GARCIA also encourage the renewal of interest in Philippine culture. he created a Commission to put emphasis on the legacies of JOSE RIZAL.

GARCIA also signed the agreement providing payment by Japan to the Philippines for the destruction during the Second World War. .
