The image depicts one of the film's more dramatic moments as The Mother (Belle Bennett) has learned of her husband's infidelities with a beautiful young gold-digger as her daughter (Sally O'Neil) tries to comfort her. Both women are shown wearing elegant negligees as they sit on the Mother's bed. The Art Deco-influenced lettering of Griffith's name and the film's title is complemented by blue, black, and orange boxes outlining the color-tinted scene. It is unrestored and in very fine condition with a tiny 0.25 in. vertical crease near the bottom left corner, a light 1 in. diagonal crease on the top border to the right of center and a small area of wear along the top edge on the right side of the card. This example is in superb original condition with bright colors and perfect registration. The Battle of the Sexes; United Artists; 1928; dir: D.W.
