Chokin is an ancient Japanese art of metal engraving since the 12th century. On top of the etching is copper, it is gilded with precious 24K gold and silver. The engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of samurai warriors. All plates are edged in 24 karat gold and have beautifully designed images on the middle of the plate. Plates include: 6" samurai warrior design, 6.5" bird design, 7.75" flower cart design and marked on the back of each plate is "The Art Of Chockin" on the back. |
