Stanley Rule & Level Co. Pat. Feb. 1890 '104'
This is an antique Stanley Level Tool that was a staple in every handyman’s carpenter tool box or farmer’s barn. An original Stanley level, it has the manufacturer’s Stanley name mark with engraved initials of “SW” in the center of a heart. It is also engraved with “New Britain, Conn. U.S.A.” No. 104.
This is a solid primitive wood piece is possibly made from Cherry or Mahogany hardwood showing aged patina, dark spots, minor scuffing, but no damages or chips. All brass metal and liquid in glass views is intact and could use some good old fashioned cleaning or leave in original condition for added value. It measures approximately 12” inches by 2-1/2” by 1-1/2” inches. It in great shape and was part of my husband’s collection of antique tools he’s now willing to part with to the next generation of collectors.
